According to police, his attacker was a man whom he had allegedly met to sell drugs to.
Haedyn Rawson, 23, was last week charged with murder over Swinbourne’s death, but police have now charged a second man, aged 24, with murder and robbery over the incident.
The 24-year-old is due to appear in Southport Magistrates Court later today.
Rawson appeared in court last week and did not enter a plea. He remains in custody.
Police said last week that only a very minor quantity of drugs was suspected to be involved in the stabbing, and ruled out the involvement of any organised crime.
