Teenager, 18, is arrested over terror offences after police raid home in West Midlands
- Met Police counter terror team swooped on the Walsall address on Tuesday
- They arrested an 18-year-old suspect and took him into custody to question
- His house was searched and he has now been bailed to the middle of February
Armed police have arrested an 18-year-old boy on suspicion of being a Jihadi.
Specialist officers from the London-based Metropolitan Police travelled 130 miles to detain the suspect in Walsall, Mest Mids.
The Counter Terrorism Command operation swooped on Tuesday morning at the residential address.
There, officers arrested the teenager on suspicion of distributing terrorist publications.
They then turned the place over in a search for any further evidence.

Meanwhile the arrested man was taken onto custody and questioned by police.
He was bailed that day and must report back to officers in the middle of February next year.
A Met spokesman said: ‘The investigation relates to Islamist terrorism.

‘A teenager has been arrested on suspicion of terrorism offences, during a proactive operation by the Met’s Counter Terrorism Command.
‘Officers from the Met attended an address in Walsall, West Midlands, on the morning of Tuesday, 22 November.
‘An 18-year-old man was arrested at the address on suspicion of dissemination of terrorist publications (contrary to Section 2 of the Terrorism Act 2006).
‘Officers also searched the address under a warrant.
‘The man was taken into custody, and he has since been bailed to a date in mid-February 2023.’
