A man has been questioned by police and released after a woman was found dead in the front yard of a Queensland home yesterday afternoon.

The 55-year-old Harristown woman was found dead at the front of a property on Buckland Street at Harrristown in Toowoomba, about 125km east of Brisbane, just after 1.30pm yesterday, according to police.

Police investigating her death are calling for anyone “who may have seen or heard anything in the area of Buckland Street around the time of the incident to come forward”.

“A 49-year-old Harristown man was initially assisting police with their enquiries but has since been released,” police have said in a statement.
