A woman accused of recklessly damaging an Adelaide hotel when an e-scooter caught fire has been granted bail.
Jessica Rose Jones, 24, faced court today following a Saturday morning incident that forced the evacuation of the Oaks Adelaide Embassy Suites on North Terrace.

Fire investigators said a recharging electric scooter caused the 12th-floor blaze.

The fire didn’t spread beyond the room and there were no reports of injuries but police alleged sprinklers caused “significant damage” to rooms over several floors.

The scooter has been seized for investigation.

Jones faced Adelaide Magistrates Court today and was granted bail.

She’s due back in court on July 16.
