A woman was woken up in the middle of the night to noise in her home before she discovered three men had broken into her home in Adelaide, police have said.

Police were called to Oaklands Road in Somerton Park about 12.05am.

A woman told officers she went to investigate a noise when she found the trio dressed in dark clothing inside her home.

Police said the men then fled the scene with a laptop and a handbag with the woman’s purse inside.

“No one was injured,” police added.

The three men were last seen running east towards Parry Avenue.

Police said they searched the area, with help from a police helicopter and dog, but could not find them.

Anyone who saw suspicious activity in the area is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
