A 38-year-old has been charged with murder after a man’s body was found last night on a footpath in the Western Sydney suburb of Melonba, near Mount Druitt.

Police will allege in court that the two men met for a ”pre-arranged fight”, before the victim’s body was transported to Georgina Crescent by car.

After the body was left, police say a car crashed into a parked vehicle. That car was found soon after, and the 38-year-old was found by officers hiding in bushes nearby.

The victim, a 32-year-old man believed to live in the local area, was found by a member of the public.

Police were called and found the man had significant head and body injuries.

NSW Ambulance paramedics attempted to treat the man, but he was unable to be revived.

After being found, the 38-year-old alleged killer was taken by police to Mt Druitt station where he was charged with murder this afternoon.

He has been refused bail, and will appear before Parramatta Bail Court tomorrow.

Crime scenes were established at the suburban footpath, and at a home nearby.
