A brief look at “Anthony Scaramucci mocks UK’s humiliated PM Liz Truss on her resignation” Well, that’s one way to put it.

As the world reels from U.K. Prime Minister Liz Truss‘ resignation, some political figures across the pond have begun to poke fun at the politician’s short tenure.

One person who weighed in early Thursday morning was former White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci, 58.

‘The Mooch’ famously lasted just 11 days inside the White House during former President Donald Trump‘s administration.

‘Liz Truss lasted 4.1 Scaramuccis,’ the former White House official said in a tweet.

Scaramucci’s message, sent just before 9am, picked up steam, and received applause from thousands.

One political blogger, a staunch Democrat, with more than 650,000 followers laughed at Scaramucci’s tweet saying ‘Ok. You earned this’ with laughing emojis attached.

Don Moynihan, a professor at Georgetown University according to his Twitter bio, also weighed in on Scaramuccci’s tweet.

The professor within the McCourt School of public affairs urged anyone thinking about hopping the pond for a trip to do it now.

‘If you are interested in visiting the UK, just an incredible exchange rate right now,’ Moynihan said.

Within hours, Scaramucci’s tweet had amassed more than 60,000 likes and nearly 10,000 retweets.

One mathematically minded Twitter user then tried to correct the former White House employee, telling him that it’s actually 4.09.

Scaramucci responded playfully: ‘we round up. 4.1.’

His jokes didn’t end there, however.

‘The Mooch’ interacted with a tweet referencing the livestream of a head of lettuce started by The Daily Star earlier year.

The livestream, aptly titled ‘Will Liz Truss outlast this head of lettuce’ gained internet fame for its hilarious commentary on Truss’ expected short time inside 10 Downing.

Scaramucci quoted the tweet of one person who shared a photo of the head of lettuce with the caption ‘the lettuce is going to win, isn’t it?’

‘But she outlasted the milk in the refrigerator. I wasn’t able to do that! Kudos,’ the former White House communications director said.

He then gave a simplified comparison that can be used to measure future politicians who resign after just a short period.

‘1 Scaramucci = carton of milk,’ he tweeted. ‘Truss = head of lettuce.’

All in all, ‘The Mooch’ gave Truss his seal of approval to the politician, calling her actions admirable.

‘I admire her for being in the arena and for doing what is right by stepping down at this time,’ Scaramucci wrote.
