Australian TV personality issues a brutal message for Meghan and Harry

A Sky News commentator has ripped into Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, saying people are ‘sick and tired’ of hearing them complain.

Sophie Elsworth, who is also the media writer for The Australian, claimed the pair had no right to whinge as they were two of the most privileged people in the world.

Her fiery criticism comes after Prince Harry sat down with ‘toxic trauma’ expert Dr Gabor Maté for a 90-minute conversation on Saturday.

The 38-year-old said he felt ‘slightly different’ to the rest of his family, opened up about his upbringing in a ‘broken home’ and said he had been ‘saved’ by Meghan.

Elsworth was left unimpressed by the interview, saying the couple didn’t want to stop ripping into the Royal Family.

‘These are two of the most privileged people in the world, constantly complaining,’ she said on The Royal Report on Sky News on Sunday night.

‘And I was thinking there was a little bit of peace and quiet there for a while, but sure enough, up he rears his head again and more complaining.’

Elsworth took aim at the couple’s exhausting campaign to speak out about royal life in a series of interviews, a documentary and book.

The couple spoke with US host Oprah Winfrey in 2021 then continued to open up on life behind closed doors in the Netflix documentary ‘Harry and Meghan’ in 2022.

Prince Harry continued to stir controversy with the release of his book ‘Spare’ before moving onto his latest endeavour with Dr Maté.

Elsworth said the interview brought nothing new to the table and appeared to be repeating old claims.

‘Clearly his financial model is failing because they’ve exhausted almost all avenues,’ she said.

‘I think people are just sick and tired of Harry, and they’re starting to tune out.

‘I couldn’t believe some of the stuff I was hearing there though, that he honestly believes this stuff that comes out of his mouth, that he doesn’t want to be the victim.

‘I mean, honestly, this guy is on another planet.’

In the interview with Dr Maté, Prince Harry discussed his drug use, his views on the war on Afghanistan, and how he doesn’t see himself as a ‘victim’. Yet he failed to mention his brother William once.

Describing his struggles to find his ‘authentic true self’ while growing up, he said: ‘I felt slightly different to the rest of my family. I felt strange being in this container, and I know that my mum felt the same so it makes sense to me.’

The royal – who Dr Maté publicly diagnosed with attention deficit disorder (ADD) – said he constantly hugged his children, Archie and Lilibet, to ‘shower them with affection’ – something he doesn’t believe he received from his father, King Charles.

He also spoke of the importance of parents not arguing in front of children, saying: ‘Do not have those disagreements, arguments, whatever it is… luckily my wife and I don’t have those.

‘The idea of having those in front of the kids? I assume that my parents probably had a lot of those [rows] in front of me, maybe that’s where it comes from… that’s not a good idea.’
