A Brisbane bus driver has been busted playing a TV show on his phone while carrying a full load of passengers.
An outraged woman on her daily commute filmed the Translink driver steering while his phone rested on the dash, with a program playing.
Less than a metre from where the man sat was a large signing warning passengers to limit noise because it ‘may distract the driver and other passengers.’
The TikTok user posted the clip with the title, ‘Send your well wishes, someone’s grandad is gonna get me killed.’

She added: ‘This is illegal, he has headphones in, head down watching a show, whilst operating a large vehicle filled with public passengers.’
Shocked social media users were also left stunned by the dangerous behaviour.
‘Risking that many lives.. deserves more than just getting fired,’ one person wrote.
Another said: ‘That’s the definition of a distracted driver especially being a public servant.’
A third wrote: ‘Wow! As a bus driver myself I’m shocked at this behaviour!’
Brisbane City Council has since stood the driver down while an investigation is launched into the ‘disappointing, dangerous, and clearly unacceptable actions’, the Courier Mail reported.
‘TransLink expects all bus drivers to adhere to Queensland road rules at all times,’ a department spokesperson said.
