Liverpool fans may not be itching for the start of the new season, but they’ll definitely be looking forward to seeing Luis Diaz.
The Colombian produced a piece of magic with a stunning goal during their final pre-season friendly, which saw them beat German side Darmstadt 3-1 at Deepdale.

Diaz showed brilliant ingenuity as he met Dominik Szoboszlai’s corner from the left by back heeling the ball in-off the crossbar from an acute angle.
It understandably had Liverpool fans purring and they’re expecting big things from the 26-year-old this term.
One fan said: “That is magic from Luis Diaz. He is going to have a massive impact on our season.”
Another fan added: “Luis Diaz is going to have a huge season, as long as he stays fit.
“Almost think some have forgotten just how brilliant he is because of last season’s six-month layoff.”
While this fan claimed: “Luis Diaz has been incredible this pre-season, a big season loading.”
And this fan said: “It’s going to be a Suarez-like season for Diaz. Literally playing like his life depended on it.”
Goals from Mohamed Salah and Diogo Jota put Jurgen Klopp’s side 2-0 up inside the opening eight minutes.
Mathias Honsak pulled one back for the Bundesliga outfit on ten minutes before Diaz’s moment of magic sealed Liverpool the win in their final match before they begin their 2023/24 campaign at Chelsea on Sunday.
