A carer with a wife and daughter both in wheelchairs has slammed the BBC and Nick Knowles for a ‘bodge job’ on his house by DIY SOS.

Peter Chapman, 64, said he has been in dispute with the Beeb about the allegedly faulty work for three-and-a-half years.

The carer was on the show with his family but was left shocked when the work started falling apart, The Sun reports.

He turned down £15,000 in compensation from the BBC because the repairs would cost double that.

Mr Chapman said DIY SOS has ‘robbed me of the last three years and the stress is killing me’.
