A child has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries after falling from a window as police rushed to the scene.

Emergency services were called to Christchurch Road in Bournemouth, Dorset, at 8pm yesterday.

Police and the ambulance service attended following reports of a very young child falling from a window. 

The child was taken to hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries. 

Dorset Police told the Sun that there were no suspicious circumstances.
