A CNBC news anchor who had an affair with NBC Universal CEO Jeff Shell has left the network, according to the broadcaster.
Hadley Gamble, 41, had an affair with married Shell for nearly a decade, ultimately leading to him being ousted from the network.
The rising star filed a complaint in March alleging that former CNBC vice president and international managing editor Patrick Allen called her a ‘c**t’.
Gamble’s complaint also alleged sexual harassment against Shell, with sources claiming that she spoke out on the allegations after being told her contract would not be renewed.
A spokesman for CNBC said: ‘Gamble has been a distinguished journalist for more than a decade for CNBC, undertaking highly visible and challenging assignments and developing deep expertise in the Middle East and beyond.
‘Her initiative and drive have secured valuable interviews with several world political leaders. We wish her every success in her future endeavors.’

In her sexual harassment complaint, filed around a month before Shell’s exit, Gamble claimed that she and Shell had a consensual relationship that started 11 years ago.
According to the complaint, Shell ‘pressured her for sex’ over a period of years, though Shell did not oversee the division that Gamble worked for when they met.
Gamble claims that she did engage in a relationship with Shell after ‘it became clear to her that rebutting his advances would probably damage her career.’
Her complaint states that Shell used his powerful position to pressure Gamble into having a sexual relationship after pursuing her in London, New York and Dubai.
