Concerning health update about legendary Australian comedian Barry Humphries – aka Dame Edna Everage – as it’s revealed he’s ‘unresponsive’ in hospital

Legendary Australian comedian Barry Humphries – best known for his role Dame Edna Everage – has gone into an ‘unresponsive state’ in hospital.

Humphries, 89, was admitted to Sydney‘s St Vincent’s Hospital earlier this week with family flocking to his bedside following post-surgery complications. 

ABC Radio Sydney shared the concerning update about Humphries’ health on Friday morning.

The entertainer – known for his drag alter ego Dame Edna Everage – issued a jovial statement through his publicist earlier this week thanking fans and well-wishers.

‘Barry would like to thank every body for the support and best wishes he has received but he would like more and more,’ the statement said

Throughout his career, Barry has met and charmed most of the Royal Family, from the late Queen Mother to King Charles III.
