A couple took drastic measures to avoid paying excess luggage fees worth hundreds of pounds on a recent flight.
Tiktoker Emily Krogsboel and her partner had hugely overpacked their suitcases, saying they were going to be charged more than £800 as a result.
However, instead of paying up, they took matters into their own hands and found a different way to resolve the problem.
They claim they were charged $1598 (£840) when their suitcases exceeded the weight limit set by the airline they were travelling with.
To lighten the load of their luggage, they proceeded to put on as many layers of clothing as possible to ensure the excess weight was taken out of their baggage allowance.

Ms Krogsboel shared a video of the pair getting dressed together in the airport, adding layer after layer to reduce the size of their bags.
She captioned it: ‘They said we had to pay $1598 for overweight…
‘The airport security were not very happy when they saw us the second time.’
The clip – which has been seen over 850,000 times since it was shared online – left viewers amazed at the lengths the couple went to so that they did not have to pay the fine.
One TikTok user said: ‘I just could not do it, I would be SWEATING.’
Another wrote: ‘The heatstroke was definitely worth the $1598.’
A third added that the pair’s behaviour was ‘Iconic’.
Indeed, Emily and her partner are not the only people to attempt the feat, with others also seen piling on clothes to make their suitcases lighter.
Unfortunately, the plan failed to come to fruition for Adriana Ocampo earlier this year.
She tried to dodge an airline’s baggage charge by wearing almost six kilos of clothing – but still ended up being fined.
Although she piled on as many items of clothing as she possibly could in a bid to avoid being charged – having realised airport staff were checking the weight of everyone’s suitcases – she was still fined $65 (£35).
