Creed 4’s plot hasn’t been revealed yet, but Jordan’s answer about expanding the Creed world could mean that the series is moving away from focusing on Donnie. Creed runs a boxing gym, so the fighters there could be the starting point for a lot of different stories. Each of the fighters could get their own movie in the expanded Creed world, or the next movie could be about the whole gym and show what Donnie has to do to train all the young fighters.
When Jordan talks about the “Creed verse,” he may just be using the language of modern Hollywood, where every big-budget movie is now expected to have its own “universe.” Creed 4 could just pick up the next part of Donnie’s story.
There will be more problems and hurdles for the character to get over, and the formula of the series hasn’t been changed by any means. Creed 4 might not need to change anything, and the next Rocky movie could be a normal but well-done fighting movie.
