The girlfriend of late Oregon football star Spencer Webb has hit out at his family after they raised doubts over the paternity of the child she claims he fathered.

Instagram influencer Kelly Kay, who announced that she was pregnant with Webb’s child a month after he died in July 2022, said she is ‘so tired of the hate’ as her paternity battle with his family continues.

‘People clearly don’t know what they are talking about,’ she said in a video to her 800,000 Instagram followers. ‘Obviously it’s his kid, you can look at him and tell it’s his kid.’

Two months after the birth of her son ‘Spider Webb’, Kay said she has  ordered a DNA test to prove the paternity, and now plans on releasing the results to prove the NFL prospect is the father of her child.

Her remarks came after Webb’s family said in a statement to the Sacramento Bee that they have ‘doubts and concerns regarding the paternity of this child for a multitude of reasons’.

In an Instagram post following Webb’s death, Kay called the football star ‘the love of my life’. But his family cast doubt over their relationship, claiming she met him just six days before he died.

‘In the first hours after Spencer passed, and only a few days after they met, Kelly began talking about the possibility of being pregnant,’ the family said.

The NFL prospect’s relatives also claimed that Kay, real name Kelly Green, had been ‘unwilling to compromise regarding the manner in which the DNA test is collected.’

Just a month after Webb tragically died in a horror rock climbing accident in Oregon last year, Kay announced that she was pregnant with his child.

And in an apparent response to the family’s remarks, Kay hit out at the allegations, saying: ‘There’s two sides to every story and there’s a lot of family drama that I shouldn’t even have to bring up.

‘It’s nobody’s business, and I’m not trying to put my dead baby daddy’s family drama out there like that.’

The model said that thanks to an ‘amazing’ relationship with Webb’s mother and sisters, she was able to work with an attorney to obtain a legal DNA test for her son.

She said she intends to share the results of the test once it has been released.

‘I have the DNA test, so stop saying “get one.” It’s there,’ Kay added. ‘Spencer’s name is on the birth certificate. I’ll post that s*** once it comes in the mail and you guys can literally f*** off and find something better to do.’

Kay also shared screenshots of a text exchange with Webb’s brother Cody, where she revealed that she had ordered a DNA test in an apparent response to the family’s claim she was ‘unwilling to compromise regarding the manner in which the DNA test is collected.’

Earlier this month, Kay detailed the heartbreaking moment Webb died in her arms, telling People: ‘I was the one who pulled him out of the water and held his head until the paramedics got there. But unfortunately, he passed as they were arriving.

‘I was in disbelief. I died that day as well. It’s unbelievable. The whole time we were waiting for the paramedics, I was just talking to him and telling him, “We’re going home. We’re walking out of here.”

‘There was a little glimmer of hope in my mind that maybe we were going to be okay, but it didn’t end up that way.’

Kelly previously shot to fame in 2020 after streaking the field at the Superbowl in Miami, which she says was because she ‘saw the power of virality’.

‘All of a sudden, I wasn’t just the hot girl or the girl that ran on the field,’ she told The New York Times

‘I was a hot Instagram influencer that ran on the field and had worldwide attention.

‘I saw an opportunity to capitalize, and I saw the power of virality. I genuinely don’t know why people are so intrigued by it.’
