An NBC Connecticut TV news anchor has revealed that she kept her mother’s brutal murder a secret for months to protect the manhunt for her killer.
Heidi Voight shared on social media this week that she had been carrying a ‘painful secret’, after Vermont police said they were reinvestigating the February death of Claudia Voight, 73.
Cops initially thought she died February 20 from a ‘medical event’, but an autopsy later revealed she died from neck compressions.
‘My mother’s death was not natural, nor peaceful,’ she wrote. ‘My mother was murdered, violently, in the place she should have felt safest — her own home in Windham, Vermont.’
