A teenager has tragically died in a horror double stabbing, while another wounded 19-year-old now lies in hospital.
Police have cordoned off a street in Ormskirk, after two 19-year-olds were involved in a serious incident in Lancashire.
Another 19-year-old from Liverpool and a 19-year-old man from Maghull have been arrested on suspicion of affray. They remain in custody at this time.
Lancashire Police have confirmed that the arrests relate to an altercation involving ‘a number of males’ which was reported at 12.05am today.
Despite the best efforts of paramedics, one unnamed teenager, 19, died just after making it to hospital.

The other wounded teenager, 19, is now in hospital but his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
All businesses inside the police cordon are now closed and one staff member at B&M said they had been informed not to open shops before midday.
One town centre shopper also told LancsLive: ‘You can’t access Moor Street from the end where the taxi shop is. Everyone has to walk round.’

Lancashire Police told MailOnline: ‘Our officers attended Railway Road, Ormskirk, at 12.05am today (July 29) to reports of an ongoing disturbance.
‘A 19-year-old was found a short distance away with stab injuries. Despite the best efforts of the emergency services, he sadly died later in hospital.
‘A second 19-year-old was also treated for stab injuries. He has been taken to hospital. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
‘A significant area within the town centre has been secured as a crime scene.
‘Anyone with information or footage is asked to call 101, quoting log 0006 of July 29, 2023.’
