One-day-old baby girl taken from hospital by two women – as police issue amber alert

A one-day-old baby girl has been taken from a hospital in Queensland, with police desperately worried for her wellbeing.

The newborn was seen being bundled into a white Suzuki Liana with the registration 095HI8 at Ipswich Hospital on Monday.

The car was last seen leaving Charlotte Street, Basin Pocket at 2.30pm on Tuesday.

Queensland Police said the baby ‘may be at significant risk’.
