‘Absolute chaos’ at Melbourne Airport after a security incident

The security line for Qantas domestic flights at Melbourne Airport was paused at 5:30am this morning to deal with a security incident.
3AW listener Deb, who is at the airport said ‘it’s absolute chaos’.
‘The queue is out the door in the terminal, there’s something wrong with security I suspect, but the queue is absolute madness,’ she said.
‘They’re calling people as the flights are due, the queue is huge, people are just waiting to get on, it’s absolute chaos.’
Qantas have since stated the security incident has been dealt with and normal operations should be up and running now.

A passenger queuing in the long line took a video panning across the terminal.
Dozens of people are seen waiting to go through security, with one woman seen glancing anxiously at her phone as she queued up.
