The manager of a strip club where Lidia Thorpe was seen screaming profanities at punters claims the rogue senator was going up to ‘white men’ before the incident saying: ‘You stole my land’.

Ms Thorpe was filmed unleashing an extraordinary spray on a group of men outside Maxine’s Gentlemen’s Club in north Melbourne at 3am on Sunday, telling one: ‘You’ve got a small penis’ and another ‘you’re marked’ in a menacing tone.

David Ross, general manager of Maxine’s, told Daily Mail Australia Ms Thorpe’s behaviour was ‘just unacceptable’ and that she has been banned for life from the establishment.

He revealed that bouncers kept a close eye on the Greens defector throughout the evening because she was ‘a bit argumentative’ during the wild night out with friends.

‘One of our security guards said they thought she (Ms Thorpe) was going to be trouble because she was going up to white men in the crowd and telling them that they’d stolen her land,’ he said.

However, Mr Ross said although the Senator had been drinking she was ‘not intoxicated’ and was not asked to leave.

The heated altercation came about 3am once the venue had closed.

Ms Thorpe, who was out for a 50th birthday party with a group of three friends, had earlier told 7News that she was allegedly provoked and harassed by the men.

‘It’s sad people are utilising whatever they can to drag me down when we’re trying to discuss important issues in this country,’ she told the network.

Daily Mail Australia has reached out to Ms Thorpe’s office for comment on the claims she was the one provoking punters.

Mr Ross said he had reviewed the footage of the extraordinary spray on the club’s security cameras and has since spoken to staff working on the night.

‘She was very animated and argumentative,’ he said.

‘I think to the credit of our punters who were out the front, they didn’t get aggressive and they were trying to settle the situation.’

Mr Ross revealed he would be writing a letter to the Senator’s office on Monday morning informing her she had a lifetime ban from the club.

‘I have never seen a racist-inspired problem in our club before,’ he said.

‘We have Lebanese, we have Muslims, we have Christians, we have black, we have white. We have people from all nationalities coming into the club. I like to say that adult entertainment has universal appeal – it doesn’t matter what background you come from, it’s all entertaining. But she’s not welcome.’

He added: ‘We are a local club – we are more like a local bar than a strip joint – there just happens to be scantily-clad women walking around. We are a very local club and we don’t welcome this type of behaviour at all.’

Mr Ross said he did not believe Ms Thorpe had visited Maxine’s – which describes itself as the ‘hottest Melbourne strip club north of the CBD’ – before.

Footage of the incident shows Ms Thorpe pointing her finger at the men in a heated exchange.

One of them calls her a ‘racist dog’ to which she responds ‘f*** you’ before a friend holds her back.’

She tells the men: ‘All I want to say to the black brothers there and anyone that we’re fighting…

‘Any black man that stands with the f****** white little c*** like that – yous (sic) can all get f***** too!’

The outspoken independent Senator who broke away from the Greens earlier this year, was out with friends to celebrate a 50th birthday.

One of the men asks, ‘how the f**** does someone get in parliament like you?’

She hits back: ‘We’ve been repressed all our f***** life in this country and you let this little dog speak…’

A member of the group told 7News that the senator was ‘out of control’.

It’s not the first time the former Green Senator has been involved in controversy.

Last year, she was forced to quit as Green party deputy leader in the Senate after she failed to disclose her relationship with former bikie boss, Dean Martin, while serving on a committee which looked into bikie gangs.

She was also forced to unreservedly apologise after interjecting during a parliamentary debate with the line ‘at least I keep my legs shut’, which was allegedly directed at Liberal senator Hollie Hughes.

In February, Ms Thorpe caused a scene at Sydney’s Mardi Gras parade when she laid down in front of an Australian Federal Police float after screaming ‘f*** the police’.

Last month, she disrupted a ‘Let Woman Speak’ event outside Parliament House in Canberra held by controversial women’s rights campaigner Kellie-Jay Keen-Minshull.

Draped in an Aboriginal flag, Ms Thorpe made a beeline toward Ms Keen-Minshull, before she was intercepted and taken down by police.

She crawled along the lawn and made her way toward a group of more than 100 pro-trans counter-protesters.

The independent ‘black sovereignty’ movement senator later claimed she was ‘pulverised’ by police and said Ms Keen-Minshull – who she referred to as ‘filth’ – should not be allowed to speak on Aboriginal land.
