Police launch manhunt after 13-year-old schoolgirl was sexually assaulted on a Stagecoach bus

  • The girl was on bus in the Everton area of Liverpool at around 5.20pm yesterday
  • A man allegedly sexually assaulted her and then fled in direction of Kirkdale Vale

Police have launched a manhunt after a 13-year-old girl schoolgirl was sexually assaulted on a Stagecoach bus. 

The girl was a passenger on the number 17 bus, travelling on St Domingo Road in the Everton area of Liverpool, when she was allegedly assaulted at around 5.20pm yesterday.  

The suspect is then believed to have left the bus and fled in the direction of Kirkdale Vale. 

Merseyside Police have released CCTV images of the man they want to question. 

Detective Inspector Chris Saidi said: ‘This would have been very traumatic for the young girl and we are determined to find the person responsible.

‘Everyone should be able to use public transport without the fear of being subjected to an incident like this.

‘We think the man pictured may have vital information that could help our enquiries so if you know him, please come forward as soon as possible.
