The aftermath of the latest Donald Trump indictment has set off a political dogfight, with Mike Pence blasting ‘crackpot lawyers’ advising his former boss – and Rudy accusing the former vice president of being bossed by his wife.

Pence provided some of his most pronounced criticism of Trump this week following his bombshell grand jury indictment.

‘Sadly, the president was surrounded by a group of crackpot lawyers that kept telling him what his itching ears wanted to hear,’ Pence said.

That was a dig that Giuliani, a former Trump who has been identified as ‘co-conspirator 1’ in the indictment, took to heart. He responded with a personal attack.

‘I always worried about him following Trump because I would see him with his wife having something around his neck every night,’ Giuliani told Newsmax host Eric Bolling.

‘She doesn’t let him go to the …’ Giuliani said, before stopping himself. ‘No, she lets him go to the bathroom by himself, that’s about it. But imagine that skunk doing what he did today?’ Giuliani said.

Giuliani’s attacks come as Trump also took notice of Pence and threw shade in his direction.

‘I feel badly for Mike Pence, who is attracting no crowds, enthusiasm, or loyalty from people who, as a member of the Trump Administration, should be loving him,’ Trump posted on his Truth Social site.

Then he repeated claims of election fraud that had him in federal court in Washington, D.C. Thursday facing charges stemming from his election overturn effort.

‘He didn’t fight against Election Fraud, which we will now be easily able to prove based on the most recent Fake Indictment & information which will have to be made available to us, finally ― a really BIG deal. The V.P. had power that Mike didn’t understand, but after the Election, the RINOS & Dems changed the law, taking that power away!’ Trump wrote.

The indictment revealed that prosecutors have obtained contemporaneous notes that Pence kept during his pressure campaign. It also quotes Trump as admonishing him for being ‘too honest’ amid his resistance. Trump and his allies wanted Pence to refuse to accept votes certified by states during the electoral count.

Giuliani also tore into Pence’s legal bonafides. Pence attended the Indiana University school of law, which is located at the IU-Purdue campus in Indianapolis. Giuliani, a former federal prosecutor who is fighting to have his law license revoked, attended the New York University school of law.

‘I once got a congressman to break down at the witness stand and confess, so I really know what I’m doing, and to be described as a— what did he, what did Pence say? I don’t think he’s ever been in a courtroom and he went to the law school nobody even knows. I mean, that guy is— that guy, I mean, I thought before this all happened that he was a really good guy, but too weak to be president,’ Giuliani said.

His blasts at Pence come during a difficult week for Giuliani, who was once known as ‘America’s mayor.

He is the subject of a blistering court document by former aide Noelle Dunphy, who alleges in the filing that in a hotel room he pulled his pants down and had her give oral sex ‘against her will.’

It says he acted ‘in a similar manner’ to a scene in the film Borat, where Giuliani is depicted laying down on the bed of a hotel room.

Giuliani in filings has denied the allegations and calls her charges ‘a large stretch of the imagination.’

Pence spoke about the case during a campaign stop Wednesday to the Indiana State Fair, as he continues to struggle to rise in the polls.

‘Sadly, the president was surrounded by a group of crackpot lawyers that kept telling him what his itching ears wanted to hear,’ Pence said.

‘And while I made by case to him, with what I understood my oath to the Constitution to require, the president ultimately continued to demand that I choose him over the Constitution,’ the former vice president added.

Pence revealed in 2002 that he won’t eat alone with a woman unless his wife Karen is with him, and won’t go to public events where alcohol without having her with him, as part of his faith.
