Florida Senator Rick Scott has issued his own travel advisory warning ‘socialists and communists’ not to come to the state in response to the NAACP deeming it ‘hostile’ towards African Americans.

The tongue-in-cheek warning read: ‘Florida is openly hostile towards Socialists, Communists, and those that enable them.

‘Before traveling to Florida, please understand that the state of Florida devalues and marginalizes the contributions of and the challenges faced by Socialists and others who work in the Biden administration.

‘Let me be clear – any attempts to spread the oppression and poverty that Socialism always brings will be rebuffed by the people of Florida.

‘Travelers should be aware that attempts to spread Socialism in north Florida will fail and be met with laughter and mockery.

‘However in much of Central and South Florida, the situation is far more dangerous for Socialists, as they may encounter people from Cuba, Venezuela, and other parts of Central and South America and the Caribbean who have direct knowledge of and experience with the horrors of Socialism.’

His advisory on Tuesday came after NAACP Chairman Leon W. Russell told black Americans to ‘analyze’ whether they would be ‘safe’ in the state – despite the fact he lives there and has no plans to leave.

Russell, 73, told MSBNC’s Joy Reid Americans should reconsider travel to the state, where he and others believe Gov. DeSantis is pushing ‘white supremacy’ by trying to remove CRT from schools.

He has lived in Florida for most of his adult life, retiring in 2012 after decades of public service in the Office of Human Rights for Pinellas County in Clearwater.

Co-chair Karen B. Towns, the NAACP co-chair and a member of the board, also enjoys vacationing in Clearwater.

Despite their connections to the sunshine state, they joined the organization in warning other African Americans against traveling there.

In an interview with The Grio, however, he said he had no intention of leaving the state.

The NAACP warning sparked mockery among black Republicans, including Florida Rep. Byron Donalds.

‘I don’t even know what the NAACP is talking about. This is silly, and it’s dumb. It’s political. It makes no sense.

‘We should be focused on making sure people actually have the opportunity to achieve, which Florida is actually doing and thriving in way better than other states, let’s say New York or California or Washington state,’ he said during an appearance on Fox and Friends on Monday.

‘We’ve got to get past this stuff. We can’t be using race to weaponize our politics and weaponize our media.

‘It’s disgusting and it’s got to stop,’ he said.

‘The only hostility I feel is inflation hitting my pocketbook because that inflation is hostile.

‘When the price of food is up, the price of gas is up, the fact that fentanyl is coming into every community because of Joe Biden.. maybe the NAACP should be focused on that. Because that is hostile.’
