Shocking moment a woman is abducted off the street in NYC and whisked away in a minivan

  • A woman in her 20s was abducted on a Brooklyn street in the early hours of Friday
  • Photos released by the NYPD show a man approach her and then pick her up 
  • Police say that he put her into a Toyota minivan and drove away  

Shocking pictures from the NYPD show the moment a woman was kidnapped off the street in Brooklyn.

According to law enforcement, a man approached the woman around 1:45 am Friday, picked her up and carried her into a Toyota minivan, images released by the police show. 

Police say that the van then took off with the woman inside. The incident occurred along Avenue W and Stillwell Avenue in the Gravesend section of the borough. The car headed north on Stillwell Avenue. 

As he approaches her, the man has his arms raised as if he is trying to stop her or grab her attention. 

Police were alerted to the incident by an eye witness who went to the 60th precinct to report what they had seen.  As of Saturday morning, there have been no reports that anybody has gone to the precinct to report a person being taken.

The woman is in her 20s, around 5-foot-5, 120 pounds, with long hair, a striped shirt, blue skirt and white sneakers.

The suspect is clad in a black shirt, dark pants and black sneakers. He looks to be in his 30s, approximately 5-foot-10 and weighs 175 pounds.

A reward of up to $3,500 is being offered for information.
