Shocking moment father of Minnesota Twins star Miguel Sanó KILLS his ex-girlfriend and shoots two other people in the Dominican Republic

Authorities in the Dominican Republic are searching for the father of major leaguer Miguel Sanó after he shot dead his former girlfriend and wounded two other people.

Surveillance camera footage showed the moment Ricardo Sanó confronted Yajaira Henderson, 36, at a business in the town of San Pedro de Macoris where she was celebrating her sister’s birthday and shot her at point blank range.

The Dominican National Police said Ricardo Sanó dragged Henderson out of the shop and got into a heated argument after she told him she was not leaving with him.

The security camera showed the gunman exchanging words with Henderson’s party before he turned around and shot Yuly Guerrero, 28, and Juan Delgado, 35.

A frightened Henderson could be seen standing on the sidewalk when Ricardo Sanó walked over, aimed the weapon and shot her three times.

The cold-blooded killer subsequently boarded his moped and sped away.

DailyMail.com reached out to Miguel Sanó and Octagon, the sports agency that represents him, for comment.

The 27-year-old became a free agent in November 2022 after with the Minnesota Twins declined to exercise the club option on his contract. He was scheduled to hold a showcase with several teams February 2, according to SKOR North.

Sanó, who spent 12 seasons in the Twins organization, suffered two knee injuries in 2022 and was limited to 20 just games. He hit .083 with one home run in 71 plate appearances.

He was selected to the 2017 MLB All-Star game in his third season in the majors and finished the year hitting .264 with 28 home runs and 77 RBI.

Sanó missed the beginning of the 2019 season while recovering from an Achilles surgery, but was productive with 30 home runs in 109 games in 2019.

The first baseman turned that performance into a three year, $30 million extension in the offseason.
