A high-flying executive who allegedly killed his partner of 13 years by repeatedly stabbing her in the chest has faced court charged with her murder.

NSW Police were called to an apartment in the inner-south Sydney suburb of Mascot on Easter Sunday just after 6pm following reports of an alleged domestic-related incident.

Lisa Fenwick, 59, was found on the 10th level of her Church Avenue unit block.

The court heard paramedics tried desperately to save her but she tragically died at the scene with ‘multiple stab wounds’ to her chest.

A neighbour reported hearing screams coming from the apartment on Sunday night as families gathered to celebrate Easter Sunday.

Appearing in court on Monday, Eriksen’s only words were ‘yes’ when the magistrate asked him if he understood his charges, The Daily Telegraph reported.

He made no application for bail.

According to his LinkedIn, Eriksen works as a self-employed food nutrient educator to ’empower people to learn how to make healthy food choices throughout their whole lives’.

He held a number of roles within the government, mining and banking sector including being an insurance consultant at AMP and a project manager at ANZ.

He also worked as a senior financial analyst at the Department of Defence in 2009 and had university degrees from Harvard University and Stanford University School of Medicine.

A friend of the couple described Ms Fenwick as ‘very sweet’ and said the pair were well-known in the neighbourhood for walking their two dogs around the local parks.

Local resident Prateek Mundae described the incident as ‘shocking’.

‘It’s very daunting to hear,’ Mr Mundae told the ABC.

‘It’s quite surprising. I’ve been staying over here for three years.’

‘I live on the corner and I saw lot of police cars,’ another local resident said.

‘I feel so nervous and sad for the family. It’s so bad and it’s really scary.’
