An 82-year-old woman has been found underneath a tractor three days after she first went missing.

The woman was discovered on a property in Talarm, west of Macksville, on the NSW north coast, on Sunday evening having suffered serious leg injuries.

She was flown to Newcastle’s John Hunter Hospital by the Westpac Rescue chopper after receiving treatment from paramedics.

It’s understood the alarm was raised when calls from the woman’s sister went unanswered for three days.

A 95-year-old farmer was found alive last month two days after he fell off his tractor and was buried in mud in Carters Ridge, north of Brisbane.

It wasn’t clear what caused the elderly man to become stuck, however, he is believed to have experienced a medical episode.

Wedding fashion designer Claire McKenzie lost limbs in a horrific lawn mowing incident in Ballandean, in Queensland’s Granite Belt region, late last month.
