At teenager who poured milk on a group of women enjoying a birthday boat ride has been suspended from his prestigious $30,000-a-year school.

The 16-year-old boy was suspended from the elite Melbourne Grammar School after video of the prank began circulating on social media last month.

A group of women had their day ‘ruined’ after they were covered in milk while on a GoBoat on the Yarra River on January 27.

One of the passengers, Veronica Burgess, said the boat had been booked for a friend’s birthday in a TikTok video posted on January 27.

‘Imagine if someone on the boat was allergic to milk? This is beyond dangerous,’ Ms Burgess wrote online. ‘Would love to find the kid that ruined our day.’

The teen responsible was handed a ‘combination of suspension and other punitive action, reparation, apologies and counselling’, the Herald Sun reports.

He was also issued a caution for unlawful assault following an investigation by Victoria Police, who said the ‘matter was now complete’.

Melbourne Grammar School principal, Philip Grutzner, said the school had done its own investigation which had resulted in the student being suspended.

He said the school had taken action despite the incident occurring off-campus.

‘We continue to have the firm view that this behaviour was completely unacceptable and have treated the matter with the utmost seriousness,’ he said.

‘Although the incident occurred well outside the purview of the school, we have worked with that student and his parents.

‘We endeavour to instill an understanding of the importance of respect and care for others in our students every day in which students act responsibly and are accountable for their actions.’

Before his suspension, the teenager took to social media to lash critics who had  gone ‘too far’ and that he was now facing expulsion.

‘Please stop contacting my school, my school has caught me and I am facing expulsion. Can’t believe you would do this to (a) minor,’ he wrote.

‘Why’d you do this to me. You ruin my life over a ruined day, you upped the anti, I’m just a kid and you ruined my life. Too far.’

In Ms Burgess’s video, which has now been viewed over 30million times, the teen is heard asking the women on the boat if they ‘want some milk’.

Despite one of them yelling ‘don’t!’ the boy pours milk over the group.

Ms Burgess said GoBoat helped them clean up following the incident before the group of women were able to carry on with their day.

‘GoBoat (sic) were so great and helpful about the situation. They helped clean us up so we could go home,’ Ms Burgess wrote on TikTok.

The video was quickly flooded with dozens of sympathetic comments.

‘I’d be fuming honestly,’ one person wrote.

‘I’d be so upset. I’m so sorry this happened,’ a second said.
