A body had been found by a man and woman walking along the beach near the Glenelg Jetty in Adelaide.
The 61-year-old man from Adelaide was discovered by police this morning at about 7am.
There were no signs of violence when investigators removed his body from the ocean, South Australian police have said.
He had been reported as missing at 9pm on Wednesday night and is said to have a history of mental health issues, according to the Advertiser.
No additional information has been released regarding the identity or the circumstances that caused the death.
