‘We’ll be back’: Trump sends defiant Easter message less than one week after being arrested in NYC

Donald Trump‘s Easter Day message railed against those who ‘dream’ of ‘destroying’ the United States and promoted some of his cornerstones campaign ideals – like securing the southern border and requiring voter ID.
Despite the criticism of his critics, the ex-president still wished everyone a Happy Easter in a Sunday morning Truth Social post.
Trump was in New York last week after the week prior he was indicted by a Manhattan grand jury in the case involving hush money payments to porn star Stormy Daniels.
Spending the night at his former residence at Trump Tower in the Big Apple, Trump was arraigned Tuesday.

Appearing unfazed by the recent events, however, Trump attended a UFC fight in Miami with singer Kid Rock, where the former president was met with roaring applause.
Meanwhile, President Joe Biden is in Ireland celebrating Easter.
‘HAPPY EASTER TO ALL,’ Trump started in his Sunday message written in all capital letters.
‘INCLUDING THOSE THAT DREAM ENDLESSLY OF DESTROYING OUR COUNTRY BECAUSE THEY ARE INCAPABLE OF DREAMING ABOUT ANYTHING ELSE, THOSE THAT ARE SO INCOMPETENT THEY DON’T REALIZE THAT HAVING A BORDER AND POWERFUL WALL IS A GOOD THING, & HAVING VOTER I.D., ALL PAPER BALLOTS, & SAME DAY VOTING WILL QUICKLY END MASSIVE VOTER FRAUD, & TO ALL OF THOSE WEAK & PATHETIC RINOS, RADICAL LEFT DEMOCRATS, SOCIALISTS MARXISTS, & COMMUNISTS WHO ARE KILLING OUR NATION.’
‘REMEMBER, WE WILL BE BACK!’ he cautioned.
Trump is in his third consecutive presidential campaign, already facing four challengers in his 2024 bid to retake the White House.
The other candidates announced so far are Trump’s former Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley, biotech multi-millionaire Vivek Ramaswsamy and former Arakansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson.
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, however, appears to be the only one who could give Trump a run for his money in 2024, although the popular Sunshine State executive has not yet announced a run.
DeSantis’ Easter message on Twitter was much more subdued than Trump’s. It included an image of a cross on a hill with the message: ‘He is Risen. Happy Easter.’
