Two men ‘chased victim with a machete and tried to hit him with it’: Police release images of two suspects

Police officers have launched an urgent manhunt after two men allegedly chased victim while wielding machetes.

Greater Manchester Police today released two photos, showing two people they are asking the public to help identify.

A statement released by the force said: ‘On 5th June 2023 there was a disturbance on Alder Ave Wigan where by the two males pictured below are reported to have chased the victim with a machete and attempting to hit him with it.

‘If you recognise these males can you identify them using the above crime number. This can be done by calling 101, reporting it online on GMP website or on Crime stoppers.’

Anyone with information is asked to contact police quoting crime number CRI/06LL/0017349/23.
