Detectives from the Sex Assault Squad have charged a 48-year-old Western Australia police officer with 17 offences as a result of an investigation into allegations of child sex offences.
The officer was stood down at the time of police receiving the complaint while the matters were investigated.
It will be alleged between 2009 and 2012 the man had a sexual relationship with a girl who was 13-years-old at the time of the first alleged offence.
