A body has been found floating in a popular bay in Sydney‘s eastern suburbs.
Marine police were called to Watsons Bay shortly after 10am on Thursday following reports of boat debris in the water.
Emergency services responded to the cliff face off Watsons Bay and Vaucluse after locals reported seeing a body around 200m from land.
The body of a person has since been recovered by police south of The Gap, one of Sydney’s most famous lookout points.

In a statement, NSW Police said there was no further information available about the body, including age or identity.
Witnesses told The Daily Telegraph the body was pulled from the water naked shortly after 10am, with the man wearing only socks.
Police urge anyone with information to contact the Marine Area Command or Crime Stoppers.
