Wollongong station: Commuter, 20, fights for life after falling onto train tracks

A man is fighting for life in hospital after falling onto train tracks during peak hour.
Emergency services in Wollongong south of Sydney responded about 7am Wednesday morning after reports of a 20-year-old man was located on tracks between Wollongong and North Wollongong Railway Stations.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the man at the scene, before he was taken to Wollongong Hospital in a critical condition.
The 20-year-old man was found in a serious condition on the tracks between Wollongong and North Wollongong stations
It is not yet known how the man ended up on tracks and whether anyone else was involved.
Officers from Wollongong Police District have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Police are urging anyone who may have information about the matter, including phone or dashcam footage, to contact Wollongong Police Station or Crime Stoppers.
