Sheppard was described by family as a ‘wonderful sister, mother and friend, who touched the lives of those around her.’

The young mother, who would have turned 22 on August 12, leaves behind a two-year-old son.

Sheppard was working in security and concierge services for high-end apartment buildings around the Boston area, the news outlet reported.

She was working towards getting a job with UPS where her mother has worked as a supervisor for more than a decade.

Sheppard’s friends and family also told NBC Boston that she was thinking about a career in nursing.

Madeline Gonzalex, 45, the victim’s grief-stricken mother, said her daughter ‘always had her heart open to everybody. She was very kind … straight-A student — very, very smart.’

Kristian Valdes-Gonzalez, 25, Sheppard’s brother, flew from Florida to Boston the day after he learned the horrifying news, The Boston Globe reported.

He described his younger sibling as devoted to her 2-year-old son. ‘She was always playing with her son, either at the beach or at the park,’ he told the news outlet.

Earlier this week, Katia Ramos created a GoFundMe to help raise money for funeral expenses.

She called Sheppard ‘caring and inspiring,’ and said that her death is ‘a great loss for family and friends.’

‘On July 20th, 2023 our beloved Jazreanna was murdered in the area of downtown Boston at Park Street Station after being violently attacked by individuals,’ Ramos wrote.

‘The Family decided to donate her organs to heroically save the lives of others,’ she said.

‘We are all devastated by Jazreanna’s loss and were not prepared for the high cost of a funeral service. We want to give Jaz the memorial she deserves to honor her memory and say our last goodbyes.’

As of Friday afternoon, more than $3,600 has been raised towards their goal of $15,000.

The Boston Police Department is asking anyone with information to call 617-343-4470. For those who wish to remain anonymous, tips can be left by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-494-TIPS, or by texting ‘TIP’ to 27463.
