Damar Hamlin (24) can hardly wait! A horrific incident occurred during a Buffalo Bills game against the Cincinnati Bengals last month. After a tackle, Bill’s defenseman suddenly collapsed to the ground and was taken to the hospital. The footballer had suffered cardiac arrest! In the meantime, his condition has improved. However, Damar hopes that one day he will be able to play football again!
“I’m doing great,” said the NFL star in a GMA interview. Physically, he suffered little to no permanent damage. Mentally, however, it looks very different. He is still in the process of processing what he has experienced and the trauma that comes with such a situation. However, Damar hopes that one day he will be allowed out on the football field again. “Ultimately that’s the goal, but I allow it to be in God’s hands,” added the athlete.
Damar recently contacted his fans online to thank them for their support. “I can’t tell you how grateful I am for all the love, support, and everything that has been shown to me,” he said in a video on Instagram. Because he had a lot to process mentally and even spiritually.
