In a statement shared on Willis’ Instagram page, the actor’s family, including his wife Emma Heming Willis, ex-wife Demi Moore, and his children Rumer, Scout, Tallulah, Mabel, and Evelyn, explained that he has recently been diagnosed with aphasia, leading to significant cognitive impairment.

Similarly, Willis’s family announced on February 16, 2023, revealing that he had received a diagnosis of frontotemporal dementia.

In their statement, the family acknowledged that Willis’s condition had advanced and emphasized that “communication difficulties are just one manifestation of the illness.”

They expressed optimism that the attention drawn to Willis in the media would help increase awareness about this disease.
