Heather Hewitt Accident: Tragedy Strikes the Equestrian Community: Heather Hewitt a 40-something woman from Crowborough East Sussex England met an untimely death in a horse-riding incident that took place at Glenamaddy in Co Galway on Thursday. The accident shocked the equestrian community and left many wondering what happened.

The Incident: What We Know So Far

According to a spokesperson from the Glenamaddy Equestrian Centre the incident took place when a riding club was using the facility. While a horse was being mounted something went tragically wrong leading to Hewitt’s death.

When the accident happened they called for emergency help. The emergency team arrived quickly but unfortunately, they found out that Heather Hewitt had died at the place of the accident.

After the accident, they took Heather Hewitt to Galway University Hospital. There the doctors did a post-mortem examination to try and figure out what happened.

The news of Heather Hewitt’s death has been met with an outpouring of condolences and tributes from friends family and fellow equestrians. The Association of Irish Riding Clubs for the West of Ireland paid tribute to Hewitt and many riding clubs including the Tynagh Riding Club shared their condolences on social media.

Hewitt’s funeral services will occur later in the UK according to reports from the Irish Times. Her family has thanked everyone who helped following the incident.

Heather Hewitt was a married woman survived by her husband Kieran Hewitt. The couple tied the knot on November 26 2021 in the presence of their family and close friends.

Heather Hewitt and her husband shared some pictures from their wedding on Facebook. Heather also had a daughter named Beth, and her parents’ names are Clive and Tracy. She also had a sister named Andrea.
