Sarah Herron has shared an emotional post on social media to announce that her newborn son passed away on January 28, shortly after giving birth.
The Bachelor alum also posted a photo of her holding the baby next to her fiancé Dylan Brown. In January, they confirmed that Herron was pregnant with her first child. the baby was born prematurely after 24 weeks.
“On January 28th at 24 weeks our beautiful son Oliver Brown was born,” Herron wrote.
“He died in his father’s arms shortly after. There are no words for the magnitude of the loss and the pain we are experiencing. It is both beautiful and tragic. He had my nose and his father’s mouth and long fingers.”
” Oliver, our IVF miracle defied so many odds and passed so many difficult milestones to be here, but the Higher Powers still had other plans for the three of us.
“Our time together was short, but we are grateful for the days we had with Oliver in my womb. He has taught us so much about the integrity of life, love, and death.
“Oliver filled our home and hearts with so much love and most importantly optimism. The stars aligned to create Baby Oliver with a deeper and more meaningful purpose than we will ever understand. His body was small, but his legacy It will always be larger than life for us.”
“Oliver swam with sea turtles, kept me company while I healed from a broken knee, and loved his dad’s cooking. Most of all, Oliver loved his morning routine of laying down with his brother, Rio, on my lap.
“While our hearts are broken beyond comprehension, we take comfort in knowing that our son’s soul has known only love and will not suffer in a body that was not built for this life.
“We will never understand the cruelty of it all, but through the darkness, Oliver is still so bright. We love you so much, baby. You will never be replaced. You are so perfect and amazing.
