Tom Brady’s divorce from Gisele Bündchen earlier in the season according to ESPN NFL analyst Jeff Darlington was “traumatizing” for the experienced quarterback. When it comes to covering Brady Darlington has long been at the forefront of the story.
“Just talking to people this morning many of whom are very close to Tom I would pick one word: Exhausted. He’s tired” he said on ESPN’s First Take. “I think it’s not just about the 23-year career which obviously he has deservedly he’s 45. It’s time to rest.”
In October of 2019, after 13 years together, Brady and Bündchen ended their marriage while the former was in his 23rd season as a National Football League player.
“But we have to remember. Keep in mind the human element of last year. During the most focused time of his life which is the season he went through the stress of a divorce a traumatic divorce for him.” So now he took a step back. He decided ‘You know what I need to recharge. I need to rebuild my life and revitalize myself and not for the football field but in general” Darlington continued.
This morning Brady made the NFL retirement announcement. He reversed his decision to retire last year but it appears to be set in stone.

Tom Brady announced that his career is officially over. The quarterback left the game in 2022 only to return to play for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2023. But this time he won’t back down on him.
Taking to his social media accounts the legendary NFL player announced the pick in an emotional Instagram post.
“Good morning guys” Brady began in a video posted to his Instagram visibly upset. “I’ll get to the point right away: I’m retiring. Forever.
