According to reports, his heart, liver, and kidney became too weak after undergoing two surgeries, chemotherapy and immunotherapy.
He is survived by his wife, Marnie Dyer MacCallum and their four children, Callie, Tayler, Rylee, and Tatum.

Tom Maccallum started his career as a high school footballer in Loreburn, Saskatchewan, and then moved to Regina to play as an offensive lineman for the Rams for five seasons.
After that, he played two seasons for the Saskatchewan Roughriders. While playing, MacCallum also showed his coaching skills by leading two Senior Bowls and being a guest coach at different camps.
He led two Senior Bowls in 2000 and 2002, demonstrating his leadership and expertise in coaching. He was also actively involved as a guest coach at various spring and fall camps, ranging from minor football to CIS (Canadian Interuniversity Sport).
Maccallum’s passion for the sport led him to continue his football journey with the Regina Rams while pursuing his education.
Even while pursuing his education, he stayed involved with the Regina Rams. He also took on the head coach role for Kelliher High School’s six-man football team for six successful seasons.
Throughout his teaching career, he remained dedicated to the Prairie Valley School Division Schools, starting at Kelliher School and progressing to positions like Vice-Principal and Principal at various schools.
Besides this, Maccallum serves as Vice-Principal and teaches Physical Education at BES (school name). He had also been involved in coaching Bantam Girls’ volleyball, where he enjoys mentoring young athletes.
He consistently leads his teams to contention for the PVSD (Prairie Valley School Division) championship.
