Who Is Steve Mackey Wife Katie Grand? Meet His Son Marley And Family: Steve Mackey’s wife Katie Grand announced the death of her beloved husband Pulp star Steve Mackey who died at the age of 56.

Steve Mackey who played bass guitar for Pulp during their heyday died at the age of 56 after a three-month hospitalization.

Katie Grand his wife announced the news on Instagram calling him “the most talented man I have ever known.”

Mackey joined Pulp in 1989 and made his debut on their third album Separations.

He continued to play on the band’s subsequent studio albums including the critically acclaimed Different Class and His ‘n’ Hers both of which are widely regarded as among the best records of the mid-1990s Britpop era.

In her Instagram post, she broke the news of Steve Mackey’s death.

Although the cause of death has not been revealed Grand stated that he had been in the hospital for several months prior to his death.

Noel Gallagher wrote “Go safe Mackey lad. You were one of the heroes. Big hugs. NGX.”

Suede bassist Matt Osman also expressed his sadness at Mackey’s death saying “So sad to hear of Steve Mackey’s passing. “Wonderful musician and producer as well as a true gentleman,” he said alongside a photo of Mackey.

Marley Steve and Katie’s son were born. He was born in the year 1996. Steve was living in North London with his wife and son.

Mackey was born into a musical family. Geoff Mackey, his father was a music teacher and conductor and Rosalind his mother was a singer.

Mackey’s brother Julian Mackey is a musician and has worked with several artists including Pulp.

Mackey joined Pulp in 1989 and appeared on their third album Separations as well as subsequent studio albums including Different Class and His ‘n’ Hers both of which are regarded as some of the best albums of the mid-90s Britpop scene.

Steve Mackey was born in Sheffield England on October 12, 1966. He is best known for his work as the bassist for the band Pulp.

He grew up in Sheffield where he attended school and developed an early interest in music.

Steve was involved in the city’s vibrant music scene as a teenager playing in several local bands. In 1987 he joined the band Pulp.

He stayed with the band until their hiatus in 2003 then rejoined them when they reformed in 2011.

He worked on some of Pulp’s most iconic and beloved albums including Different Class which won the Mercury Music Prize in 1996.

Mackey has also worked as a producer and collaborator contributing to the work of a number of other artists over the years.

He has worked with artists such as M.I.A. Florence and the Machine and Paloma Faith.

Furthermore Mackey has worked on a variety of other projects including remixes and film scores as well as a session musician and DJ.

In addition to his musical career, Mackey is a visual artist who has shown his work in galleries throughout the United Kingdom.
