Kerala Zahhad, a biological woman, halts her transformation into a man in order to conceive a child with her boyfriend, a biological male who is transitioning into a woman.
Ziya Paval, who will soon transition to being a trans woman, is from Kozhikode, whereas Zahhad, who will continue “her” treatment to become a trans guy, is from Thiruvananthapuram.
Three years ago, the two gave up their homes and have been living together in Kozhikode ever since.
On Friday, a transgender couple from Kerala who were already undergoing hormone therapy to change their genders announced they were expecting a child. In Kozhikode, Ziya Paval, 21, and Zahhad, 23, have lived together for the past three years.
According to reports, Zahhad, a biological woman undergoing treatment to become a trans man, stopped “her” treatment after finding out she was pregnant.
On the other hand, Ziya has been receiving medical treatment to transition from a biologically male to a female. The two are allegedly the first “trans couple” to give birth to a child.

Who Are Zahhad Paval And Ziya Paval?
The Kerala Trans Couple thought their lives should be distinct from those of other transgender people when they first moved in together three years ago.
Most transgender couples experience prejudice from both society and their families.
When asked why she was expecting, Paval said, “We wanted a baby so that we leave behind something of ourselves even after our days in this world are numbered.
Paval shared a picture of “him” and Zahhad holding “her” developing child on Instagram to announce “his” motherhood. Paval wrote that “he” was “glad and eager to have a kid and to be called a “mother”.”
According to Paval, Zahhad is undergoing treatment to change into a man, and “he” is undergoing treatment to change into a woman.
After giving birth, Zahhad would continue the hormonal therapy, he added. Six months to a year after giving birth, “Zahhad will also resume the treatment to become a trans guy,” Paval said.

According to Paval, both the newborn and Zahhad, her partner who gave birth to the child, are doing well.
The newborn’s gender identity was kept a secret by the trans person, who insisted that they did not want to reveal it at this time.
A transgender Keralite couple who had just recently announced their pregnancy gave birth to a child on Wednesday in a government-run hospital in this city, in what is believed to be the first instance of its kind in the country.
“The baby was born by around 9.30 am by a Cesarean Section at the Government Medical College Hospital,” said Ziya Paval, one of the trans partners.
According to Paval, the newborn is doing well, as is Zahhad, her partner who gave birth to the child.
The trans person declined to reveal the baby’s gender identity and said they did not want to make it public just yet.
Zahhad was eight months pregnant at the time of Ziya Paval’s most recent Instagram post.
What Response Did The Trans Community Give?
However, the transgender community greeted the newborn with happiness and delight. The first transgender pilot in the country, Adam Harry, declared that he had never been happier.
“The baby has arrived, and both Zahhad and the infant are doing well. Ziya is looking forward to going outside. The trans man claimed in a Facebook post shortly after the child was born.
Harry also added in the brief post, which was adorned with emojis of love and excitement, that the baby’s gender would be revealed once the child grew up.
