Fulham signed Armando Broja from Chelsea on loan in the January transfer window.
However, it looks like Armando Broja has actually been on their radar for a while.
Fulham manager Marco Silva has now claimed that his club looked at the striker last summer. His quotes have been shared by football.london.
Broja is yet to start a game for the Cottagers, coming off the bench in their 3-1 victory against Bournemouth and 2-2 draw with Burnley.
Before his loan move to Fulham, Chelsea put a massive £50m price tag on Broja, according to The Telegraph. Evidently, though, it was a figure that no one was prepared to meet.

Silva has revealed that Broja is a player who Fulham have considered in the past.
On the 22-year-old, he said: “He has a lot of potential, we really believe in him. He was a player we looked at last summer as well and he knows that there will be competition for places. He only arrived last week before the Burnley game.”

Could Fulham sign Armando Broja from Chelsea permanently in the summer?
It could depend on a couple of factors. First, Chelsea would probably have to drop their £50m asking price for Broja.
Second, Fulham and Silva would possibly need the Blues to sign a new centre-forward themselves. While Mauricio Pochettino is coping now, he may not want to go into the 2024/25 season with just one recognised No.9 in his squad.
Therefore, if Chelsea cannot land a new striker for whatever reason, it would not be far-fetched if they decided to keep hold of Broja.
At this point, though, you would fully expect them to bring in another centre-forward. In fact, journalist Sacha Tavolieri has claimed that Napoli’s Victor Osimhen has already chosen to join Chelsea.
Osimhen did not have the best Africa Cup of Nations, managing to score just one goal in seven appearances.
