Mauricio Pochettino has not held back following Chelsea’s 4-2 loss against Wolverhampton Wanderers earlier today.

Chelsea were humiliated at home by Gary O’Neil’s side and Mauricio Pochettino was asked after the game if his players are good enough.

In an honest assessment, the Argentine responded by saying neither him nor his players have been satisfactory of late.

Their loss to Wolves comes after a 4-1 defeat to Liverpool at Anfield.

Chelsea fans are really not happy right now, with some venting their frustration at Pochettino at Stamford Bridge this afternoon.

Chelsea players good enough to be higher than 11th

Is this Chelsea squad good enough to be challenging for the Premier League title? No, they are not even at the level to compete for Champions League qualification.

However, Pochettino has more than enough in his arsenal to be higher than 11th in the standings. For a team of this quality to be in the bottom half of the table is utterly unacceptable.

He has excuses not to be in the title race and near the Champions League places after all of the injuries he has had to deal with this term. But do Chelsea really have a worse squad than the likes of Wolves, Brighton & Hove Albion and West Ham United?

The Blues’ Premier League campaign is practically finished. Pochettino now needs a top-half finish and either the Carabao Cup or FA Cup. Anything less and he should probably be sacked.

Liverpool stand in Chelsea’s way of the former, though, and if they play like how they did today and at Anfield in the final, then there is no chance of them winning that. All in all, then, it really is not looking good for Pochettino, who must surely be fighting for his job after yet another shocking defeat.
