Brendan Rodgers has held talks over a return to Celtic this summer, talkSPORT understands.
The Bhoys are looking for a new boss following the departure of Ange Postecoglou earlier in June.
The Australian boss was named as Tottenham’s new head coach for the new season, leaving the Scottish champions with a hole to fill.
Having won the domestic treble last term, Celtic is an attractive proposition for any manager.
Rodgers has been out of work since leaving Leicester City at the beginning of April, with the Foxes deep in a relegation battle.
The Northern Irish boss previously managed Celtic following his spell as Liverpool manager, joining the Bhoys in 2016.
In his three seasons at Parkhead, Rodgers won two Premiership titles, two Scottish Cups and three League Cups before leaving the club in February 2019.
Having just won their 11th Premiership title in 12 seasons, expectations will be high at Celtic next term.
However having shone in the role previously, Rodgers will be confident in his ability to bring more success to the club if appointed.
