One striker has now claimed that it is his childhood dream to play for Chelsea at some point in the future.
Bordeaux striker Albert Elis told La Prensa that it is his dream to feature at Stamford Bridge, with him fighting to achieve that goal.
Elis is currently playing up front in the second division of French football, with him registering five goals so far this season.
The striker situation has not been a particularly promising one as far as Chelsea are concerned.
The current obvious option is Nicolas Jackson, with him now back from the African Cup of Nations.
There will be a lot of pressure on him to deliver, with the only other recognised natural option being Armando Broja, who was loaned out in the last transfer window.
Elis wants to join Chelsea
While they didn’t add to their ranks in January, one player that is likely wishing they did is Elis, who claimed that he is working hard to be ready for the day his dream becomes a reality.

He said: “Getting to the Premier League and Chelsea is a boy’s dream, and those should never be lost. You fight to achieve these goals. I don’t know what can happen, but what matters is working to be ready the day those goals arrive, opportunities.

Chelsea’s strategy seems to be signing players at a young age before a number of other elite teams get to them.
As for a new striker though, it looks as if they are going to spend big to solve their woes. Victor Osimhen is the reported top target at Stamford Bridge for the upcoming transfer window.
