Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has been speaking about the future of one Chelsea star.

There could be quite an exodus at Stamford Bridge this summer, with Thiago Silva already confirming that he will be leaving the club at the end of the season when his contract expires.

At least four other players could follow Silva out of the door.

It has been reported that Chelsea could sell Conor Gallagher, Trevoh Chalobah, Ian Maatsen and Armando Broja next month.

Chelsea need to watch their finances after spending heavily in recent transfer windows.

What has Fabrizio Romano said about ‘outstanding’ Chelsea player’s future?

It remains to be seen if Chelsea will get rid of all of those above names.

However, one player who will definitely be leaving Mauricio Pochettino‘s side this summer is obviously Silva.

According to Romano, Fluminense have now made a formal proposal to sign the central defender, who has been described as “outstanding” by Leon Osman.

The Italian journalist has also claimed that the contract is almost ready but Silva will take his time before making a decision.

Thiago Silva’s next club

It is not impossible that Silva ends up at Fluminense. If anything, that is probably his most likely destination.

He has played for them before and they clearly want him back at the club.

Fluminense midfielder Matheus Martinelli recently begged the Brazilian to return publicly.

However, they do not look to be his only option. It has been claimed that three teams from London have made proposals to Silva as well.

It shows that the former Paris Saint-Germain captain is still more than capable of playing in this country. For whatever reason, though, Chelsea did not seem desperate to keep hold of Silva.

Pochettino still has Axel Disasi, Levi Colwill, Benoit Badiashile, Chalobah and Wesley Fofana. But they are nowhere near as experienced as Silva, while Fofana keeps getting injured. The Frenchman has not kicked a ball all season and could now finish the campaign without having played a single minute.
